Frank McCarthy WESTERN PRINTS On the Warpath Framed Sig I am selling these Framed, Signed prints for a friend. He had a Western themed Bar and is retiring. These were hung for years. Please ask Questions before bidding. All were professionally framed with glass and matted. Measurements-19 1/2 inches x 24 inches Title-"On the Warppath" 405/1000. 1977. Condition-Back has some minor tears to backing. Mitered locally. This print was screwed to the wall with 4 holes in the side of the frames. If this is not how you display art, the holes can be filled with putty. Frank McCarthy opened his own studio in 1948, and did work for Colliers, Argosy, and True. Amongst his film poster work were The Ten Commandments, The Great Escape, The Dirty Dozen, Once Upon a Time in the West, and many others. McCarthy left the commercial art world in 1968 in order to concentrate on Western paintings. In 1975, he was invited to join the Cowboy Artists of America.
