Seki was one of an accomplished group of Japanese Meiji period artists who were trained in the Western watercolor tradition. More of his work is pictured online with the Ohmi Gallery. This example was painted on thin board measuring approx. 13 x 19 1/2in. It is framed with simple silver and brown toned moulding. The watercolor is unglazed.
